How to install OrbisGIS ?

Warning
OrbisGIS needs at least Java 6

Latest stable version 3.0.2

Choose a way to install OrbisGIS by clicking on the appropriate “package”.

Java web start version, directly executable
Get .zip package for Window, Mac and Linux
Get .zip package
Install .deb package
Install a .deb package for Linux
Install .rpm package
Install a .rpm package for Linux
Install .exe package
Install a .exe package for Windows

Note

  • To run OrbisGIS, create a new Workspace (just the first time).

Daily snapshot

Packaged binaries of OrbisGIS is available every day thanks to Hudson.

The users are invited to test this snapshot and to report any bugs or change requests.

Download

Download the daily snaphot that contains all dependencies following at this URL : OrbisGIS-Snapshot.

Run it with the command below :

java -jar orbisgis-ui-4.0-SNAPSHOT-jar-with-dependencies.jar

Java Web Start

You can also launch the Java web Start version.

If you want to download the current OrbisGIS sources, check the SVN with (read only):

Here you can download a dataset to test OrbisGIS.

This dataset has been created by Erwan Bocher during is thesis in collaboration with the support of Bassin versant du Jaudy-Guindy-Bizien and Conseil Général des Côtes-d'Armor.

All the data are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial-Share Alike 2.0 France Licence.
